Postponed until Spring 2021

The TEDxBath team has made the very tough decision to postpone this year's event until Spring 2021 but have plans for a free virtual event open to all on the 10th October in its place. This event is in partnership with the TED COUNTDOWN launch event - a global initiative on climate change and is called the TEDxBath Countdown.

In light of last week’s Government guidance restricting all social gatherings indefinitely, escalating COVID cases in the UK and consultation with COVID expert advisor Dr Bharat Pankhania the TEDxBath team have decided to postpone the full in person event that was planned for the 10th October 2020 at The Forum Bath.

Sponsors, ambassadors and speakers have reacted positively to the news and support the team to delay in order to create the powerful and experiential event they had planned for. Ticket holders too have supported the decision and trusted the not for profit organisation with their ticket fees in the promise of a delayed event. Government guidance allowing, the Spring event will be packed full of inspiring speakers, breathtaking performers as well as interesting and challenging installations.

'We are really looking forward to bringing our established live event to our TEDxBath audience and supporters in 2021' said Rhodora Baguilat - Lead organiser -TEDxBath.

The theme of Interconnected will be even more relevant after what looks to be a winter of distance and uncertainty - the TEDxBath team hope that it will be one of the first in-person events in Bath and therefore attract a diverse audience looking for positivity and inspiration.

The TEDxBath Countdown on-line only event on the 10th October in support of the global launch of the TED Countdown and brings together the TEDxBath team with the teams of the Forest of Imagination and Big Draw who are now focusing their attention on creating an interesting and engaging event in just three short weeks.

TEDxBath is an entirely independent and not-for-profit venture and is run by a team of volunteers representing different aspects of the city.
